    Your tactics v Germany

In each of 4 qualifying games so far we played better in 2nd half. We are as athletic a side as I can remember and with most of our key players sitting out Thursday while the Germans had a tough game against Holland I expect us to get stronger later in the game. Key is to keep it tight early on. Last time we played that early goal took all the momentum out of us. Full backs are key for me. If we can get them forward on occasion (not all the time) then we can create overlaps and get decent crosses in the box. Germans are a big side so playing directly isnt going to be effective.

    Starting 11 v Germany

Actually he will go with Dallas on right wing ahead of McGinn.

    Starting 11 v Germany

Peacock-Farrell Smith Evans Cathcart Lewis McNair Davis Saville McGinn Washington Jones Dallas playing well at RB for Leeds but a big ask of recently converted winger to play RB against Germany. Worried as Saville not regular at Middlesbrough but with no Norwood he's nailed on starter. Whyte not starting regular for Cardiff so McGinn gets nod. Washington up front as Magennis had a nightmare summer. Encouraged by club form of McNair and Jones, carrying on from good performances with us.

    Line up V Belarus

Peacock-Farrell Smith Cathcart Evans Lewis McNair Evans Davis Whyte Magennis Jones Belarus only lost 2-0 to Germans. This will be even more difficult than Estonia game. Need Corry Evans to help track back so I expect him to start. Think will freshen up team a wee bit so will bring in Magennis with Washington now the obvious sub to bring on for him and will start Jones based on his impact as sub on Saturday. Dallas put in serious shift so I expect Whyte to get the nod.

    Squad v Estonia (A) and Belarus (A)

Not questioning his attitude. The suggestion in earlier post was about quality. He was a hard working player but lacked any quality. Handful of goals (can think of 3) in 50 odd caps. Played at League 1 level most of his career. Smyth, Whyte, Boyce have stood out at League 1 level, Magennis while inconsistent has shone in some Championship games this season and Lafferty's 2nd highest goals of all time.

    Squad v Estonia (A) and Belarus (A)

BPF Smith Cathcart Evans Lewis McNair Davis Saville Dallas Magennis Jones Dallas good option at right back for home fixtures but with McGinn out and Smith (probably our best player in Nations League) back I reckon will go with the above. Although Whyte may be a better goal threat will go with tried and trusted. Also disagree on posts saying weak forward line. We've capped people like Lee McEvilly, James Quinn, Adrian Coote etc. I'm optimistic about some of the younger players and I reckon Josh Magennis will be a talisman for us in this campaign. Raises his game when he pulls on the green shirt.

    Squad formation v Estonia

Actually Whyte is a doubt so would say Niall is nailed on for right wing position.

    Squad formation v Estonia

I'd go Peacock-Farrell Dallas Evans Cathcart Lewis McNair Davis Saville Whyte Boyce Jones In general I think 3-5-2 would work best when every fit so we can play 2 up top but with players available will need to go 4-3-3/4-5-1

    UEFA considering international leagues

Anything has got to be better than what is currently happening. What it could mean is the potential financial incentives of progressing up through the leagues and getting those glamour matches and bigger revenue as well as the incentives for the players in playing against the best teams. Would still require us to actually start winning games, so maybe getting a bit carried away!
