Tickets for Dutch fans - home game v Netherlands

If anyone has a spare (preferably the Kop but I'll take anywhere) please keep me in mind. For my son.

This is where wonky sheep could come into their own.

Maybe there'll be provisional tickets/vouchers like in the 2016 euros? Still a ballix for travel plans though.

Well, according to BBCNI website their headline is "Ireland held by stubborn Georgia." Looking at the stats Georgia had 56% possession to 44%, 14 shots to 7, 5 corners to 3. I didn't see the match though. Maybe the BBCROI reporter didn't either....

    UEFA considering international leagues

All a matter of opinion of course, but I'd rather face my choices than the other possibilities. Having said that, we're all in League B for a reason - not a lot to choose between any of us.

    UEFA considering international leagues

For qualification purposes, Wales, Scotland and Bulgaria please.

It could have happened to us! If we end up with a playoff spot, we would still have got it having lost all NL games and if we'd lost all EC qualifiers.

So we'd qualify on a better head to head with the Dutch then, with both teams having dropped 8 points?

    Other groups

Nope. If we win our last three we'll have dropped only 3 points but Holland would have dropped 9 points. In fact I think a win v Holland and two draws would also do. Easy peasy!

Certainly can't see me doing another road trip like we did in 2016. Total uefa omnishambles.

I don't remember the RUC band at matches? I do remember there was usually the regimental band of whichever army unit that happened to be stationed here providing the pre-match and halftime entertainment.

I'd assume that away allocations for semis and finals would still be 5%. OK for the semi as the higher placed team has earned home advantage, but as the final venues are an open draw 5% would be unfair. Couldn't see uefa being the slightest bit concerned though.

Semi final away from home. Final venue drawn before semis, so 50% chance of home final.

I thought singing nessum dorma was a nonsense tbh. He sang it well, but why sing it at all? Was it to make zee Germans feel at home seeing as they won Italia 90? Would have been better singing WNBWNI.

Don't know if Josh has played down the left before. However, I fail to see how this prevented him from running! He failed to support going forward and drifted his way back instead of tracking / harassing German players attacking down his flank, with the result that two attackers were bearing down on Lewis and a central defender had to move out to cover. Looked very lazy and seemed to be ball watching. No excuse. However, Josh apart, a terrific performance, one which will hopefully maintain momentum into playoffs.

Whereas the sweaty socks are guaranteed a playoff against other similarly crap teams. For us, if we get a playoff it will be a one-off semifinal away to probably a higher ranked team, and if successful then probably a final away to a higher ranked team. However, based on current form bring it on!

Magnificent performance, taking the game to Germany and creating chances. All eleven starters and two of the subs gave it absolutely everything. BPF and the back four all outstanding. Lewis is a wee gem. Washington put in some shift. Don't think Josh broke sweat though. He neither supported the attack or defence. Total waste of space.

    Sea of Green and more...

Aye. Loada sh*te if you ask me. A bunch of eejits blocking roads for an hour, shouting nonsense at passing cars and pedestrians, and pishing in peoples gardens. OK for away matches though 😉

Which is understandable considering the game is on Monday....

Now that sounds interesting.... Is Charlotte selling it now 😛

    Luxembourg

Agreed. Not totally convinced defensively but was full of energy and tricks going forward. Flanagan was solid. I didn't see what others appear to have seen regarding Thompson, apart from his crap set pieces. Whyte had a few good runs first half but did little else going forward, although he did cover back well. Laffs tried and ran about a lot, which if nothing else will improve his fitness. Josh didn't, and last night will have done nothing for his fitness (or lack of it). Lavery was impressive when he came on. Why's he playing on the Irish League? Must be something wrong with his head and/or agent.

    Score Prediction v Germany

I'm always pessimistic about our chances. Makes winning all the sweeter 😉

    0-3

    Starting 11 v Germany

Need to start with Washington up front. Much more mobile than Josh and also much fitter at this stage of the season from what I've seen.
