Squad formation v Bosnia

Recommended Posts

                     BPF

      EVANS   CATHCART  LEWIS

MCNAIR DAVIS NORWOOD SAV JONES

         MAGENNIS VASSELL

Looks like Grigg is out and Boyce is doubtful so give it a lash with two up front with McNair and Jones supporting the front two.

I don’t know about your front two, but what I do know is we need two up front, so there is really no choice left.

Bosnia can’t be as lucky again? Can they? ?

Never mind them, can we be as good again as we were in that first game ?

Radio Ulster said Grigg is out with a hamstring injury.

FFS!

I'd like us to pick up at 4 points in our next two games to make the campaign look a bit better.

Nick a point against Bosnia and we will beat Austria at home. At this stage having 0 points avoiding relegation would be a bonus.

Thats a sickner because I think Michael might finally be starting to realise how important he is for us.

if both Grigg & Boyce are out its goodnight Vienna or Bosnia

when did we last have 4 strikers or 5 if Ward is included out, be better to play McNair as a striker at least he knows where the goals are

confirmed Grigg back to Wigan for treatment:

Wigan striker Will Grigg will miss Northern Ireland's Nations League game away to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday with a hamstring injury.

The forward suffered the injury after coming on as a late substitute in Northern Ireland's 1-0 defeat by Austria on Friday.

Grigg, who hit the post with a header after coming off the bench in Vienna, has returned to his club for treatment.

Fellow NI striker Liam Boyce is also an injury doubt for the game in Sarajevo.

The Burton Albion player had to sit out the Austria defeat with a knee injury and will continue to be monitored by the Northern Ireland medical team before Monday night's match.

It leaves manager Michael O'Neill short on strikers, with Rangers' Kyle Lafferty having pulled out of the squad before the trip.

Friday's loss to Austria leaves Northern Ireland without a point after two Nations League outings, with the trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina and a home tie against Austria remaining.

Hard to tell. What we have now is essentially a different team from the WC qualifiers. It had to happen and is still in development.

Aye. From the 'Goaldrought Generation' Brunt, Lafferty, Ward, Hughes, McAuley, McGovern and Carroll have basically gone to a combination of age, injuries and f**kwitedness in Laff's case. McGinn, Corry, Ferguson etc are basically fringe now- but who knows, their replacements might turn out as good or better.

And of course even Davis and JEvans are struggling for games...
