Euro 2020 Qualifying Draw

Do Gibraltar play all their home games in Gibraltar now ?

read somewhere the capacity is set to rise from 2000 to 8000. Dunno if this has happened, doesn't look like it.

Think it'd be a good away trip

They did in the Nations League but they're reverting to Faro in Portugal for the Euro qualifiers until the Gib stadium capacity is increased.

Here?

A few days on the Algarve would do nicely, though 3/4000 people (at a guess) rattling about that stadium wouldn't make for much of an atmosphere.

Anyone know what channel this is on or will it just be a UEFA stream?

It's usually on YouTube.

Haven't looked, but at the very least I would expect it to be on rte as it's in Dublin.

Good shout. RTE2 from 10.45 although it will probably be nearer 12 before they actually get down to pulling balls out.

Ok, Nations League and qualification for Euros questions for u folk who've read and inwardly digested the process:

League 1, the 4 teams who won their groups, go forward to semi finals. If these 4 teams qualify from the standard euro qualifiers, then those semi finals are not required?  If 2 of the above teams qualify from the standard euros, then the other 2 play a final for a place in the euros?

does the same process follow for Leagues 2-4?

can this scenario happen - so we came 3rd in our NL group, if both Bosnia & Austria qualify thru standard euros, can we then get bumped up into the League 2 semi-final?

Short answer no.

Best to just watch this video

https://www.uefa.com/uefanationsleague/video/videoid=2502798.html

There will always be 4 teams involved so can't just go straight to final if two have already qualified. If the teams who won each group qualify as normal then there place in playoff goes to next best ranked team from that league not from the group they were in.

We are ranked 12th in league B so would require most teams in league a and b to qualify automatically to get play off place. In other words we just need to come 1st or 2nd in qualifiers to get it sorted.

The Nations League semi-finals/final aren't connected to Euro 2020 qualifying.

I think there is still an outside chance of a play-off place filtering down to us but it would require a fairly remarkable series of results in the traditional qualifiers.

Had a look at that video, see what u mean about best ranked team(s) in league 2 getting bumped up to league 1 semis.

so going by video, overall winners of league 4 from NL are guaranteed 1 euro finals place.

Yea I know the NL and euro qualifiers are separate but was just thinking of scenarios whereby we get bumped up into our NL leagues semis. And was also thinking about the league 4 teams, the way I'm understanding it, the overall winners of league 4 get a spot in euro finals.

I would say it is much more than an outside chance, the results from the traditional qualifiers just need to be "normal", I think Floreat posted on this earlier.

Effectively to get a play off place we need one of two scenarios to happen, either 8 league B teams qualify directly OR 16 teams from league A and B qualify directly. Neither of those options would appear to be particularly unlikely.

Still, probably best just to qualify directly and not have to worry about play offs.........
